Shia Quran Classes in the USA — Courses for Every Level
ShiaEdu teaches Shia Quran classes to families in Texas, California, New York, Michigan, Illinois and every other state. Each lesson is one to one with a tutor trained in Fiqh Jaffari, Shia Aqaid and the teachings of the Ahlul Bayt (A.S.).
The United States is one of the most varied countries on earth, with Shia families in all fifty states, many of them far from a Shia centre. Finding a teacher who knows the authentic Shia curriculum is a real challenge in a country this large, and that is the gap ShiaEdu fills. Every lesson is live, private and set to your own time zone.
Start with a free trial class. The tutor will listen to your child read, see what they already know and suggest a starting point. You can also meet the tutors in your own state before you book.
How Our Shia Quran Classes in the USA Work
Every class is a live video call on Zoom or Teams. You need a laptop, tablet or phone and a steady internet connection. Nothing else.
Families pick a time that suits them, from early morning to evening and on weekends too. The USA covers many time zones, so we match your tutor to your clock. When your routine changes, the lesson time can change with it.
You can ask for a male or a female tutor when you book. After the free trial, choose how many days a week to study. The fees page lists every plan and the admissions page explains how to enrol.

Why American Shia Families Choose ShiaEdu
In much of the USA, the nearest Shia centre can be an hour away, and weekend classes are often full. Many families end up teaching the Quran themselves, with no teacher to guide them.
ShiaEdu gives each child a Shia teacher of their own. The lesson goes at your child's speed, and the tutor repeats anything that is not clear. You can meet our Shia Quran teachers before you book.
Why Shia Quran Learning Matters in America
Children in the USA spend most of the day in a world that rarely mentions the Ahlulbayt (A.S.). A weekly Quran class gives them a place where their faith is the normal thing.
When the teacher is Shia, the answers match your home. Your child learns the Arabic of the Quran, the stories of the Imams (A.S.) and the habit of prayer, all in one place.
Shia Quran Classes in the USA for Kids
Children in the United States grow up in a world that knows little about the Quran or the Ahlulbayt (A.S.). Our tutors for children use friendly, patient methods to keep that link alive. Lessons are live and one to one, and they are arranged around your child's school routine, whether you live in Texas, California, Michigan, New York or anywhere else in America.
Most children begin with the Arabic letters in Qaida, then move to Tajweed, and meet Shia Aqaid through short stories and simple questions. A child who is tired after practice or homework can have a lighter lesson that day. See our page for Shia Quran tutors for kids.
Shia Quran Classes in the USA for Adults
It is never too late to come back to the Quran. Many Shia adults across Illinois, Virginia, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey and Ohio carry a quiet wish to read the Quran correctly or to learn more about Fiqh Jaffari and the teachings of the Imams (A.S.). Our tutors teach adults at every level, from complete beginners to students who want to master Tajweed or study Nahjul Balagha.
All sessions are private video calls, scheduled around a working week. Browse the full range of courses to see what is on offer.
When you are ready, you can ask for a male Shia Quran tutor or a female Shia Quran tutor.
Lessons Across American Time Zones
The United States spans several time zones, and a lesson that suits a family in New York would fall in the middle of the afternoon for one in California. We match your tutor to your own clock and set a weekly slot that fits school and work hours.
Clocks change twice a year in most states, and the tutor will adjust the lesson so it stays at the same hour on your wall clock. If you travel or visit family, you can move a lesson for a week without losing your place.
Monthly Fee Plans for Shia Quran Classes in the USA

Shia Quran Courses for Every Level
Most beginners start with Yassarnal Quran (Qaida), which teaches the Arabic letters and their sounds. After that comes Tajweed, so the student can recite the Quran correctly.
Students can then add Quran translation to understand what they read, or begin Hifz to memorise it.
Belief and daily practice have their own courses: Shia Aqaid and Fiqh Jaffari.
Students can also learn Namaz and Dua and Ziyarat of the Ahlulbayt.
You can compare every course on the courses page.
Shia Quran Classes in the USA for Women and Girls

Adults of any age are welcome too. Whether you are in Virginia, Florida or Ohio, a private lesson lets you learn at your own pace, with no one watching.
