Shia Quran Classes in Germany — Online Lessons for Every Level

ShiaEdu offers live Shia Quran classes for families in Berlin, Cologne, Duisburg, Frankfurt and every other part of Germany. Each lesson is one to one with a tutor trained in Fiqh Jaffari, Shia Aqaid and the teachings of the Ahlulbayt (A.S.), so what your child learns matches what your family believes at home.

Many Shia families in Germany live far from the religious schools and imambargahs they grew up with. The wish to give children an authentic Islamic education has not faded, and ShiaEdu was built for exactly this situation. Lessons come to your home by video call, in whichever German city you live.

Start with a free trial class. The tutor will hear your child read and suggest where to begin. If you want to know who will teach you, meet our Shia Quran teachers in each German city.

How Our Shia Quran Classes in Germany Work

Every class is a live video call. You need a laptop, tablet or phone and a steady internet connection. There is nothing to install except a free video app, and the tutor can help you set it up before the first lesson.

Lessons follow Central European Time, so they fit into a German school day. Many families pick an after-school slot, an evening after dinner or a weekend morning, and you can change the time later if your routine changes. Our tutors teach in the early morning, the afternoon and the evening.

You can ask for a male or a female tutor when you book. After the free trial you choose how many days a week to study. The fees page lists every plan and the admissions page explains how to enrol.

Parents are welcome to sit nearby, listen to the lesson and help with practice during the week. Many fathers and mothers say this is the part they enjoy most, because the Quran becomes something the whole family learns together.

Why Shia Families in Germany Choose ShiaEdu

Many Shia families in Germany live far from a Shia centre, and weekend classes are not always possible. A teacher who follows Fiqh Jaffari may be hard to find nearby, and there is often no one to ask when a child has a question about the Duas or the Ziyarat.

ShiaEdu brings that teacher to your home. Your child studies the way you pray and believe, with a tutor who already knows the Duas, the Namaz and the Ziyarat your family uses. There is no need to explain why you recite the way you do, because the tutor recites the same way. You can read about our Shia Quran tutors before you book.

Germany's Shia community is spread across the country. Many families have roots in countries such as Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Pakistan and Afghanistan, and they are now raising a new generation far from home. ShiaEdu serves all of these families in clear, simple English, and tutors can explain things again in a different way when a child needs it.

Our lessons cover far more than reading. Students can learn the recitation of surahs such as Yaseen, the Duas that families read at home and the books of the Ahlulbayt (A.S.), including Nahjul Balagha, as they grow.

Shia Quran Classes in Berlin, Cologne, Duisburg and Frankfurt

In Berlin, families live in many different districts and travel across the city can take an hour. A video lesson removes that journey, so a child can finish school, have a snack and sit down for Quran class at home. See our page for Shia Quran teachers in Berlin.

In Cologne, many parents want a quiet lesson at the end of the day. Evening slots are popular, and mothers often ask for a female tutor for their daughters. You can read about Shia Quran teachers in Cologne.

In Duisburg, children usually come home from school in the early afternoon, so lessons can start soon after. We also teach children who need to refresh their Arabic. Here is our page for Shia Quran teachers in Duisburg.

In Frankfurt, working parents often prefer early mornings or weekends. We plan around that, with tutors available at those times. Take a look at Shia Quran teachers in Frankfurt.

Why Shia Quran Learning Matters in Germany

Children in Germany spend most of their week in school, where the Ahlulbayt (A.S.) are rarely part of the lesson. At school the day is full of science, sport and weekend football. At home the family prays, the parents read the Quran and the azan plays on a phone. These two worlds do not join up on their own, and a regular Quran class gives children a place where their faith is the normal thing.

With a Shia teacher, the answers match what they hear at home. They learn to read the Arabic of the Quran, the stories of the Imams (A.S.) and the habit of prayer together. Children who grow up without this often feel distant from their Shia identity as adults, while steady early learning gives them a base that school cannot.

Germany is open and welcoming, but Shia teachers are not easy to find. Fathers in Berlin often look for a scholar who truly understands Fiqh Jaffari. Mothers in Cologne ask for a female tutor for their daughters. Families in Duisburg tell us their children have lost touch with Arabic. Online classes answer all three needs without anyone leaving the house.

Shia Quran Classes in Germany for Kids

Growing up in Germany, a Shia child moves between two worlds every day. School is secular and busy. Home is where the family prays and the parents read the Quran. The gap between these two worlds does not close by itself, and our classes for children are made to bridge it gently and happily.

Tutors begin with the Arabic letters in Qaida, then move to Tajweed, and introduce Shia Aqaid in simple stories and questions that hold a child's attention. Every class is private and one to one, and it can be set around school hours in Berlin, Cologne, Duisburg or Frankfurt, so busy families can keep a steady routine. Shia Quran Courses for Every Level

Most beginners start with Yassarnal Quran (Qaida), which teaches the Arabic letters and their sounds. Next comes Tajweed, so the student can recite the Quran correctly and with confidence.

Students can then add Quran translation to understand what they read, or begin Hifz to memorise it, with regular revision so that nothing is forgotten.

Belief and daily practice have their own courses: Shia Aqaid and Fiqh Jaffari. Children learn why Shia Muslims believe what they do, and adults learn the rulings of prayer, fasting and everyday life from a tutor who follows the same Marjaa.

Students can also learn Namaz and Dua and Ziyarat of the Ahlulbayt. These lessons help children pray and visit the Ahlulbayt (A.S.) in words they understand.

Older students can look at the wider Shia Islamic education programme too.

You can compare every course on the courses page.

Shia Quran Classes in Germany for Women and Girls

Many women and girls in Germany want to learn the Quran but cannot find a female Shia teacher nearby. Travel, childcare, household duties and privacy can all get in the way, and a group class is not always comfortable.

At ShiaEdu, girls and women study with a female Shia Quran tutor in a private video lesson at home. They can begin with the Arabic letters or go straight to Tajweed. Timings are arranged around your day, whether that is mornings in Frankfurt, evenings in Cologne or weekends in Berlin.

Our female tutors teach Quran with Tajweed, Shia Aqaid, Namaz and Dua, and Fiqh Jaffari, which is everything a woman needs to deepen her own faith and pass it on to her children. Adults of any age are welcome, and a private lesson lets you learn at your own pace, with no one watching.
