Shia Quran Classes in France — Online Lessons for Every Level

ShiaEdu offers live Shia Quran classes for families in Paris, Marseille, Lyon and every other part of France. Each lesson is one to one with a tutor trained in Fiqh Jaffari, Shia Aqaid and the teachings of the Ahlulbayt (A.S.), so your child learns what your family already believes.

France is home to one of the largest and most varied Muslim communities in Europe, and Shia families within it have built quiet, steady lives from the boulevards of Paris to the port of Marseille and the river streets of Lyon. Many are determined to pass their love for the Ahlulbayt (A.S.) to their children, even when the nearest Shia centre is an hour away.

Start with a free trial class. The tutor will hear your child read and suggest where to begin. If you want to know who will teach you, meet our Shia Quran teachers in Paris, Marseille and Lyon.

How Our Shia Quran Classes in France Work

Every class is a live video call. You need a laptop, tablet or phone and a steady internet connection. The only thing to install is a free video app, and the tutor can help you set it up before the first lesson.

Lessons follow Central European Time, which is your own time in France. Our tutors teach in the early morning, the afternoon and the evening, so a family can choose a slot after the school day, in the evening or at the weekend, and move it later if the routine changes.

You can ask for a male or a female tutor when you book. After the free trial you choose how many days a week to study. The fees page lists every plan and the admissions page explains how to enrol.

Why Shia Families in France Choose ShiaEdu

Many Shia families in France live far from a Shia centre, and qualified Shia Quran teachers are hard to find outside a few big cities. A teacher who follows Fiqh Jaffari may be an hour away, and weekend classes are not always possible.

ShiaEdu brings that teacher to your home. Your child studies the way you pray and believe, with a tutor who already knows the Duas, the Namaz and the Ziyarat your family uses. Nothing needs explaining twice. You can read about our Shia Quran tutors before you book.

France's Shia community comes from many backgrounds, including Lebanese, Iraqi, Iranian, North African and South Asian families, each with its own version of the same heritage. ShiaEdu serves all of them in clear, simple English, and tutors can explain a point again in a different way when a child needs it.

Our lessons reach well beyond reading. Students can learn surahs such as Yaseen, Duas such as Dua Kumayl, and, as they grow, the sayings of Imam Ali (A.S.) in Nahjul Balagha.

Shia Quran Classes in Paris, Marseille and Lyon

In Paris, the journey between suburbs can take an hour, and a father searching for a scholar who truly understands Fiqh Jaffari may find none close by. A video lesson removes the travel. Read about Shia Quran teachers in Paris.

In Marseille, many mothers ask for a female tutor for their daughters, and evening slots are popular after a long day. See Shia Quran teachers in Marseille.

In Lyon, children often finish school in the late afternoon, and some families have noticed their children losing their Arabic. Short regular lessons help. Here is our page for Shia Quran teachers in Lyon.

Why Shia Quran Learning Matters in France

France's tradition of laïcité means religion rarely appears in daily school life. The school day is full of lessons, sport and weekends with friends. At home the Quran is recited and the names of the Ahlulbayt (A.S.) are spoken with love. These two worlds do not join up by themselves.

A regular Quran class gives children a place where their faith is the normal thing. With a Shia teacher, the answers match what they hear at home. They learn to read the Arabic of the Quran, the stories of the Imams (A.S.) and the habit of prayer together.

Children who grow up without steady Quran learning can drift from their Shia roots as adults. Starting early gives them a foundation that school cannot supply, and online lessons make that possible even in a town with no Shia centre.

Shia Quran Classes in France for Kids

A Shia child growing up in France lives between two very different worlds. At school, life follows the rhythm of the French Republic: lycée timetables, sport and weekends with friends. At home, the Quran is recited and the Duas are whispered in a language passed down through generations. Our classes for children keep these two worlds connected, so they do not drift apart.

Tutors begin with the Arabic letters in Qaida, move steadily through Tajweed, and bring in Shia Aqaid using stories and questions that hold a child's attention. Every lesson is private and arranged around school hours in Paris, Marseille or Lyon, so even a busy family can keep a steady rhythm. See our page for Shia Quran tutors for kids.

Shia Quran Classes in France for Adults

Adults in France come to ShiaEdu for many reasons. Some want to read the Quran for the first time, some want to fix their Tajweed, and many want to understand what they recite. A growing number want to study Fiqh Jaffari and Shia Aqaid with a tutor who follows the same school of thought.

A private lesson fits around work and family. You can learn early in the morning or late in the evening, and ask the questions you might not ask in a group. Browse the full range of courses to see what is on offer.

When you are ready, you can choose a male Shia Quran tutor or a female Shia Quran tutor.

Shia Quran Courses for Every Level

Most beginners start with Yassarnal Quran (Qaida), which teaches the Arabic letters and their sounds. Next comes Tajweed, so the student can recite the Quran correctly and with confidence.

Students can then add Quran translation to understand what they read, or begin Hifz to memorise it, with regular revision so nothing is lost.

Belief and daily practice have their own courses: Shia Aqaid and Fiqh Jaffari. Children learn why Shia Muslims believe what they do, and adults learn the rulings of prayer and fasting according to the Shia Marjaa.

Students can also learn Namaz and Dua and Ziyarat of the Ahlulbayt. These lessons help children pray and visit the Ahlulbayt (A.S.) in words they understand.

Older students can look at the wider Shia Islamic education programme too.

You can compare every course on the courses page.

Shia Quran Classes in France for Women and Girls

For many Muslim sisters in France the path to learning the Quran has been blocked by simple obstacles: no female tutor nearby, no real privacy in a group, and no time left after work and family life.

At ShiaEdu, girls and women study with a female Shia Quran tutor in a private video lesson at home. Sessions are set around real French life, whether that is free mornings in Lyon, evenings in Marseille or a quiet weekend slot in Paris.

Our female tutors teach Quran with Tajweed, Shia Aqaid, Namaz and Dua, and Fiqh Jaffari, everything a woman needs to grow in her own faith and pass it on to her children. Adults of any age are welcome, and a private lesson lets you learn at your own pace, with no one watching.

  • You choose the time, whether you live in Paris, Marseille or Lyon, and you can change it later.
  • The Fiqh Jaffari course teaches the rules of prayer, fasting and daily life according to the Shia Marjaa.
  • Girls and women can learn in private with a female tutor, with no travel and no need to leave home.
  • Children who start early build a foundation in their Shia faith that school cannot give them.
  • The first class is free, so families in smaller towns can try it before they decide.
